Later on we need to investigate the many forms of packaging available in the industry and determine how cheapily an extremely environmentally conscious packaging material can be made. And if possible, obtain any available grants to fund further research until an eco-economical product is determined and employed.
I was looking at the approach of some companies like Sony and seeing if we can work with the packaging providers of these companies and with item shipping stores and online sales of cheap eco conscious packaging on ebay. For instance I know that many people on ebay buy shipping materials from ebayers selling packaging....I think there would be both a viable and a somewhat moral obligation to help develop a very efficient marketing and distribution of more eco friendly packaging.
It may also prove useful to fund or target elementary and high school students seeking to investigate various aspects of packaging both in its effectiveness as well as giving it various biodegradation tests. this would help educate and begin marketing our products nationally at a young age ,but it would prove a worthy cause and gain much support from schools, parents , and communities.
It might also prove useful to set up a non-profit organization of students with like a $1million per year stipend to contact individual communities throughout the US and see the issues that recycling centers are having nationwide with progress backing up and inefficient location and collection of facilities. Could work with PIRG or the National Public Interest Reasearch Group to research the success of local recycling facilities. I find that it is more difficult to sponsor recycling without dependable facililties like the US Post Office boxes that one can dependably find in every neighborhood with confidence that it will actually deliver their correspondence to the requested destination...similar to the stamp how do we both fund recycling and provide recycling industry a financially supported future.
I also considered a rather interesting religious approach to the packaging. For customers that we can identify as religious we can print on the packaging quotes from various religious texts explaining why it is so important that consumers recycle the packaging of the products they receive as well as reuse packaging. or we can determine effective phrases from multiple faiths, political stances, or famous authors that speak to a large variety of people. The goal would be to find an approach that was not considered offensive. It might be very reasonable to apply this philosophy and idealogy to Wal-Mart who might well consider this proposal proudly and use it for all of its internet traffic users. If a market can be established it should be easy to find ebay and internet distibutors/distribution.
Well my creative juices are slowing down on this particular blogculation...thus I end my thought till another date
